cingb is an ATTEMPT to write a Gameboy-emulator for all kinds of platforms.
It plays Gameboy and Gameboy Color ROMs, includes a debugger for step-by-step analysis of Gameboy programs and might be also interesting for educational
purposes.
cingb is currently available for:
• Linux
• Sun Solaris
• MS-DOS
This project is mainly for educational purposes. You will notice that a Gameboy is quite a simple machine and it is easy to do some experiments with it.
At the moment, I am looking for some developers who can help me with this project. Anyone is invited!
The following parts of cingb need to be improved:
• sound support
• SGB (super gameboy) support
• Z80 CPU timing
• graphics (speed)
• joystick/keyboard support
• and much more ...
I don't have any special documents which I used to write cingb. So, before asking me for any specification papers, please look for the Gameboy documents page. There, you will find enough stuff to implement the basic behavior.
Un émulateur de console Game Boy (monochrome) vous permettant de jouer sous Linux avec des ROMS téléchargées sur internet.
Ce projet a été créé principalement dans un but éducatif.
L'auteur précise qu'il recherche des développeurs pour l'aider dans son projet et que certaines parties de son émulateur auraient besoin d'améliorations:
- le support du son,
-le support de la super gameboy,
- le timing du CPU Z80,
- les graphismes (vitesse),
- le support du joystick/clavier, ...

Attention : le téléchargement de ROMS commerciales est illégal à moins de les avoir acquises financièrement.
